RIM Partners With Airtel for Blackberry


Research In Motion, has partnered up with Bharti Airtel, Asia’s leading integrated telecom services provider, to offer BlackBerry phones to its subscribers. RIM ( Research In Motion) has launched the new BlackBerry 8520 Curve smartphone in India. The new BlackBerry Curve 8520 is offered at the attractive price of Rs.15,990. And will be available nationally from Airtel’s authorized outlets through Bharti Teletech Limited across India on August 7th.

The new Blackberry is enabled with advanced media player for music, pictures and videos. The phone is aimed at youth and consumers looking for messaging / email , social networking , music and entertainment. The 8520 is the first Blackberry device to sport a trackpad instead of the trackball and brings some exciting features like Wi-Fi and EDGE for data connectivity, HTML browser, fast 512MHz CPU with 256MB RAM, 2.46-inch, microSD slot supporting up to 32 GB, 2MP camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a Bluetooth.

The phone features a Full QWERTY Keyboard, Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, 2.46 inch QVGA display, Advanced Email capabilities and a 1150 mAh battery (providing up to 4.5 hours of talk time, or up to 17 days of standby time).
