Jailbreak iPhone Process.

i) No restrictions: Want a custom wallpaper on your home screen? Custom icons for your apps? Internet tethering? A category system for organizing your apps? The ability to hide native iPhone apps you don’t use? You can do all of this and more with Jailbreak.

ii) To join the subculture: Jailbreak iPhone belong to a movement of people who demand more from their iPhones. And they’re not gonna let Apple stop them. Beat the system: Jailbreak your iPhone.

iii) Unlock iPhone: To unlock your iPhone and use it on any carrier, you must first Jailbreak your iPhone. Some of the Jailbreak solutions below also allow you to unlock the iPhone, though unlocking is generally beyond the scope of this tutorial.

Jailbreak iPhone Cons:
i) Jailbreak maybe brick iPhone:
When someone develops something for an Apple product, you run the risk of it not working as it should, conflicting with the device itself, or just all-around bricking that iPhone.

ii) iPhone update from iTunes disables Jailbreak: Every time Apple comes out with an update for iPhone, they find a way to prevent hackers from cracking the code again. Hackers then scramble to Jailbreak the iPhone again and release the new methods.

iii) Jailbreak might increase risk of getting a virus on iPhone: The only two iPhone viruses ever reported have spread across iPhones that have been Jailbroken

iv) Jailbreak voids iPhone warranty: If your iPhone is bricked because of Jailbreak, or if your iPhone has another problem and it happens to be Jailbreaked, your warranty becomes void.

Why Jailbreak iPhone

Jailbreaking lets you install applications that are not approved by Apple. Many of these applications can be very helpful but they will unfortunately never make it to the App Store due to Apple’s restrictions. There are many reasons why you would want to jailbreak your iPhone:

1.Install 3rd party applications rejected by Apple for various reasons (ie. Nudity)

2.Video recording

3.Changing the look and feel by installing custom graphics and themes

4.Free tethering

5.Get access to cracked App Store apps for free (not endorsed by me, but still worth noting)

6.Be able to unlock your iphone

Unlocking: Unlocking is the removal of SIM restrictions on the modem, allowing the use of the iPhone on any carrier.

There are 2 types of iPhone unlocks:

software unlock: the iPhone is unlocked by a software

hardware unlock: modification have to be made to the actual hardware to unlock the phone

Jailbreaking is Legal: Now, jailbreaking the iPhone is officially legal in the US, anyone can use an iPhone, on any phone with any application.

Jailbreaking - Get the Most From Your iPhone

Jailbreaking: Jailbreak is the process of hacking an iPhone to free it from Apple restrictions. Jailbreaking allows iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users to run third-party unsigned code on their devices by unlocking the operating system and allowing the user root access. A jailbroken iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch is still able to use the App Store and iTunes.

The practice of unlocking a phone and particularly an iPhone so it can be used on another network and/or run other applications than those approved by Apple — has technically been illegal for years. Most jailbroken phones are used on the U.S. T-Mobile network or on overseas carriers, or are used to run applications that Apple refuses to sell, such as Safari ad-blocking apps, alternate keyboard layouts, or programs that change the interface to the iPhone's SMS system and the way its icons are laid out.

Jailbreaking v/s SIM unlocking: Jailbreaking is different from SIM unlocking, which, once completed, means that the mobile phone will accept any SIM without restriction on, for example, the country or network operator of origin. Jailbreaking, according to Apple, can void Apple's warranty on the device, although this is quickly remedied by restoring the device in iTunes.

iPhone users have flocked to Jailbreak in search of iPhone changes and improvements. iPhone has been held back by limited customizability, text message privacy issues, and a lack of multitasking capabilities. But Jailbreak can solve all of these problems with apps and fixes available in Cydia and Installer.
